INSIDE: Former Attorney General Bill Barr, during a recent interview with Jake Tapper, offered more stinging criticism of his former boss.
“He’s not my idea of a president, and … I felt he was going to lose the election because he was not controlling himself.” Barr went on to say that he did not think the Republican Party could win the White House in 2024 with Trump and added an exclamation point by saying “I think the coming presidential election would be a good opportunity, but not with him.”
The former AG also told Tapper he would actively campaign for a Trump alternative, even if that meant campaigning against Trump.
He’s just too divisive a candidate,” Barr added.
In his new book, Barr criticized Trump’s various actions during his presidency.
“He was allowing this pettiness to come through, and I feel it’s one of his great failings.”
INSIDE LEFT: Barr is a dollar short and a day late in his criticism. Trump’s damage to the country is sever and will take a long time to heal.
INSIDE RIGHT: Barr was never a loyalist and he should have allowed more investigations into the 2020 conspiracy against Trump.
