The War On Christmas? Never About Christmas

Chip Franklin

White Protestants, or if we’re being honest, racists, who insist that we say “Christmas” instead of “Holiday” might reconsider if they did a little bit of homework. With Trump leading the chant, they call on Americans to embrace “the reason for the season,” as a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Sikhs, and Secularists are all trying to steal Christmas from white people who want the 25th to be a national celebration; with nativity scenes popping up across all public lands. And in each of these nativity scenes is a little baby Jesus. A white, baby Jesus. Oops.

Here’s the problem; Jesus was from the Middle East. And that means he probably didn’t look like one of the Osmond children, swathed in a 100% cotton blanket imported from a central American sweat shop. Sorry FOX news; Jesus looked a whole lot more like Prince than Kid Rock. And therein lies the rub.

Fake News? Christians; you can’t have it both ways. He’s either from the middle east or he ain’t. And the truth may hurt, but your Jesus has an an uncanny appearance to the people you’re deporting, a fact you might have to face come your own judgement day.
