Fired? Resigned? Either way, the departure of National Security Advisor John Bolton is but yet another disturbing development in the tenure of Trump. Trump tweeted, “I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House. I disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions, as did others in the Administration, and therefore … I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service. I will be naming a new National Security Advisor next week.”
Bolton said, and I paraphrase, “my ass I was fired! I quit before that sick squat jockey destroyed any reputation I had left.” (I said I paraphrased.)
John Bolton, who never saw a war he didn’t like, may have reached his limit when Trump sought to host known terrorists at Camp David. The decision to cancel the Taliban summit no doubt resulted in a threatened coup inside the White House, most probably led by the now former National Security Chief.
Who will replace him? That’s bound to be yet another chapter in this ongoing Sh++Show known as President Trump.
