Can GOP Defeat Trump?
Former South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford has joined former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld (R) and former Rep. Joe Walsh in what will ultimately be a futile effort to wrestle from Trump the Republican party’s nomination for President in 2020.
Appearing on FOX News Sunday, Chris Wallace asked Sanford about his 2009 extramarital affair, to which Sanford blinked 14 times, one each for the rape and sexual assault allegations facing Trump, and one extra time for the Stormy Daniels affair where Trump’s $150, 000 payoff for her silence violated half a dozen Federal campaign laws.
He said he was sorry.
Already 4 states have hinted that they intend to cancel their 2020 presidential primaries in their states to cripple Trump’s underdog challenger’s chances to build any kind of support. The states who are reportedly considering shutting down the challengers are Arizona, Kansas, Nevada and, this has to hurt Sanford, South Carolina.
