Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a virtual address before Congress, again asked for a no-fly zone over his country.
”Remember Pearl Harbor … Remember September 11th … Our country [experiences] this every day, right now, at this moment, every night for three weeks now.” Zelensky’s remarks come as Russia continues its attack on Ukrainian cities including Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Mariupol.
Biden and other NATO countries have expressed little interest in enforcing a no-fly zone citing the possibility of escalating from current rhetoric between the US and Russia to a full blown war.
INSIDE LEFT: The Biden administration is right to play this game at a distance. Russia is slowly losing the conflict without direct US involvement.
INSIDE RIGHT: There is a political aspect to the war that threatens the right heading into the fall mid-terms.
